The LABNE project – Local Governance in the Agricultural Sector to Promote Innovative Economic Models – stems from a desire to revitalise local economies by promoting inclusive development and entrepreneurship focused on public value and social impact (Specific Objective), thereby contributing to human, economic and social development at a local level by strengthening synergies between public, private and non-profit actors (General Objective), in line with SDG 8.
The 24-month project adopts a holistic approach, focusing on the dairy supply chain – identified as the key sector for action – within the Unions of Municipalities (UoM) of Joumeh and Al-Fayhaa in the governorates of Akkar and the North.
